A celebration and recognition of Shell NXplorers participants, taking place during Global NXplorers Week (7-11 December 2020).

2020 NXPLORERS RECOGNITION AWARDS

The 2020 NXplorers Recognition Awards aims to celebrate and recognise outstanding contributions of NXplorers participants, facilitators and mentors who participated in the programme since its start.

There are four categories, each with a Bronze, Silver and Gold Award. Each category is sponsored by a member of the Shell NXplorers Steering Committee. Winners will be announced at a virtual event during Global NXplorers week.

AWARD CATEGORIES

Outstanding NXplorers student team

NXPLORERS AWARD

This award is to recognise outstanding NXplorers student teams who are an inspiring example of how young people can work together to solve real problems.

Exceptional NXplorers project by a student team

NXPLORERS AWARD

This award recognises NXplorers teams that have delivered exceptional NXplorers change projects with potential for impact on their community and society​.

Excellence in Facilitation

SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD

This award is to recognise excellence in the facilitators and teachers who are a role-model for their students and enable them to embrace complexity and overcome barriers.

Inspiring NXplorers Mentor

SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD

Recognises the inspiring (Shell) mentors who go the extra mile to enthuse and empower the young people they support on their NXplorers journey.

HOW TO MAKE A NOMINATION

Nominating a team or individual is easy:

  • Login to NXplorers.com
  • Open the online nomination form using the button on the events page.
  • Select the category in which you want to make a nomination.
  • You need to describe the person or team's achievement using the text boxes provided.
  • You can also provide some links to relevant evidence to support your nomination

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Nominations can only be made by NXplorers Shell programme managers and delivery partners. You cannot nominate yourself.
  • The NXplorers Steering Group panel will select the top 3 based on the criteria for each category.
  • When a nominee is part of the top 3 (gold, silver or bronze award), the nominator will be requested to support the nominee(s) in joining the virtual event.
  • There will be no correspondence about individual nominations.
