Our most recent NXplorers Future Talks webinar, Bridging the Skills Gap, took place on Monday, October 30th at 11am BST. Julie Ferland, Vice President of Innovation Excellence at Shell, Philip Le Feuvre, Chief Operating Officer at NCFE and Gavin Miller, Enterprise Partnerships Manager at EVERFI, explored how young people can prepare for the ever-changing workforce by developing future skills.
Our third NXplorers webinar, From Thinking Locally To Acting Globally, was held on Wednesday, August 23rd at 10am BST. A panel of students shared how they have explored the connection between local actions and their impact on the global community. At the end of the session, there was a Q&A that answered any topic-related questions.
Our second webinar, Addressing Inequalities, was held on Thursday May 25th.
Our panel included Nazrene Mannie, Executive Director at Global Apprenticeship Network, Stefano Merante, Skills Development / TVET Programme Officer at The International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO), and Gavin Miller, Enterprise Partnerships Manager at EVERFI. During the webinar, our panelists discussed new approaches and education techniques to level the playing field.

Our panel included Women in STEM advocates such as Esther Barthel and Dami Ladeinde, as well as NXplorers alumna Anisha Praveen. They discussed the barriers to girls pursuing STEM subjects and careers, and exploring solutions across the world in both education and industry. There was a Q&A at the end of the session where attendee's questions were answered.
Since 2018, students across the globe have been applying the NXplorers tools and methodology to become agents of positive change.
The fourth and final NXplorers Future Talks session of 2022 took place on 17th November. In this session, NXplorers students from India, Malaysia, Oman, Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia presented and exchanged their inspiring ideas and solutions to reimagining our world. There was also a chance to ask questions during a Q&A at the end of the session.

Originally from the UK, Paul Andrews has extensive experience as a teacher, innovator and change manager at both a school and system level. He has been at the forefront of initiatives for school evaluation, school improvement, and system reform, many of which have had an enduringly positive impact.
On Wednesday 3 August at 12pm BST, Paul was joined by Rakhee Radia, Head of Consultancy and Strategy at EVERFI UK to discuss the unprecedented and existential challenges we face in the 21st century that have rendered traditional approaches to schooling obsolete. Entirely new ways of thinking about education are needed, and they discussed new interventions with a strong emphasis upon learner agency and empowerment through skills-based problem-solving. There was a Q&A at the end of the session where attendee's questions were answered.

From the classroom to the boardroom, the Waters Center for Systems Thinking has been recognised worldwide for being a leader in the field of systems thinking applied to teaching, learning and leading. On Wednesday 29 June at 4pm BST, and Thursday 30 June at 7am BST the first live Future Talks session was hosted. During this webinar Tracy Benson and Mary Quinnan told the story of the Waters Center for Systems Thinking that covered three decades of their emerging network, their growing influence in the systems thinking field and their impact on a wide range of organisations and educational systems worldwide.
