NXplorers in Qatar is about to embark on its fourth year. To mark this milestone, we sought to celebrate the standout achievements of students, teams, teachers and ambassadors.

An event was attended by over 100 visitors with members of Qatar’s education community, including Ms. Maha Al Rowaili, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs; Eng. Abdulrahman Khamis, Deputy Executive Director of Qatar Scientific Club; and Eng. Nayef Al Ibrahim Founding Partner and CEO of Ibtechar Digital Solutions.

The highlight was a competition between 10 schools. The top three student teams were:

• Gold Award (Team STEM League, Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys)

• Silver Award (Team Barzan Swaggers, Michael E. Debakey Highschool for Health Professions School)

• Bronze Award (Team Strawberry Croissant, Moza Bint Mohammed Preparatory school for Girls)

Many more remarkable individuals were recognised at the event. They were:

• The Top Teachers Award recipients were Ms. Eman Abdullah, of Moza Bint Mohammed Preparatory School for Girls and Mr. Mahmoud Aladdasi, of Qatar Leadership Academy

• Qatar Shell STEM Ambassadors award recipients were Ahmad Al Kuwari, Maintenance Engineer and Syed Mustafa, QMI and Metering Supervisor

• The People’s Choice Award was awarded to Team SABT at Qatar Leadership Academy
